April 27, 2022JEE Paper is the initial step toward the IIT. IITs are the most prestigious engineering institutes. For getting admission to IIT candidate has to give an entrance exam called JEE. JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) every year twice. JEE paper has two levels called JEE mains and JEE advanced. Let’s get a brief explanation of JEE paper.
Levels of JEE paper
JEE Mains: JEE mains is managed by NTA. JEE mains is the eligibility test for candidates to appear in JEE Advance. It is conducted for getting admissions to B.Tech or BE in various NITs and other institutes of the country.
JEE mains have 2 papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The mode of Paper 1 is online while Paper 2 is conducted offline.
JEE Advanced:
The conducting body of JEE advance is NTA but it is regulated by IITs. JEE advance is the criteria to get admission to well-known prestigious IITs.
JEE advance also consists of 2 papers. Both the papers are conducted online and candidates have to appear in both papers.
Updates in JEE Mains
This year NTA has made many changes for JEE Mains 2022
Marking Scheme: This year, NTA has introduced negative marking for section B also. Earlier, there was no negative marking in numerical type questions.
Increase in exam centers: NTA has increased JEE Main 2022 exam centers to 501 cities in India and 13 centers abroad. Applicants will be allowed to choose 4 exam centers while filling out the application form for JEE Main 2022.
The number of attempts: This year NTA has decided to conduct the JEE Main 2022 exam in two sessions – April and May.
No correction window: NTA will not provide any JEE Main application correction facility after the conclusion of the application process.
Basic Details about JEE Paper
The Joint Entrance Exam Question Paper is a bilingual medium set. The paper comes in 13 different languages. The questions are mostly Multiple Choice Questions from all 3 subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The Joint Entrance Exam question paper is comprised of 2 sections. Section-A consists of Multiple Choice Questions. Section-B questions are to be answered in a numeric value. Section B consists of 10 questions and any 5 are to be answered. Also, there is no negative marking for Section B.

Talking about the kind of JEE paper
The mode of paper is online and the time provided is 3 hours. The total number of questions given is 90. Candidates need to attempt 75(25 from each subject) out of those. The marking scheme is like 4 marks for every correct answer and a -1 mark of the deduction for every wrong attempt. The paper is of a total of 300 marks. Candidates can choose their preferred language for the test as 13 different languages are included.
